Hi Mozillians,

Last week at the Monday Project Meeting I described a plan to test a 15
minute ‘Leadership Fireside Chat’ at the end of each weekly Monday
meeting. We intend to pilot these additions to the project meeting
throughout Q3, and then evaluate how useful they are. These are intended to
be shorter and less formal format than the Town Halls, which will also
continue. Some will be more presentation, some more Q&A. We hope they (a)
help expand the understanding of what’s going on in the minds with the
SCVP, (b) create conversations with leadership team members; and (c) get
your experiences and ideas into the ongoing through process.

We expect SCVP members will nominate themselves when they’ve got a topic
they believe is a good fit. Going forward we’ll look to create
decentralized ways to find new and timely topics. We don’t envision a
formal rotation among SCVP members, some may participate more than others
depending on what’s going on.

Today Ari got us started with an update and Q&A on “From consumer products
to platforms; IoT @ Connected Devices.” The plan for the new few weeks is
below. Potch will continue to share the upcoming sessions with the project
meeting link each week, so you will have time to add questions to moderator
ahead of the session.

The Monday meeting are of course open. This should be good practice for
us, in getting comfortable with talking about our work in public forums.
If you’ve got topics or questions you’re not sure how to phrase for a
public gathering, please drop Jane a note and we’ll work with you to figure
it out.

7/25 - Mitchell Baker - Board Update and London Session Follow-up
8/01 - Nick Nguyen- Context Graph Update
8/08 - Mary Ellen Muckerman - Mozilla’s brand strategy - making us more
understandable and relevant
8/15 - David Bryant - Platform Update - more details to come.

We do recognize that time zones doesn’t work for all, and hope that folks
will post a question in moderator before the session, and can watch the
session on Air Mozilla afterward. The session will be time stamped so you
can easily find it. If this format works well we can look into
incorporatin it in other settings.

I am eager to find ways where we can have good two way information flow. If
you have other ideas please reach out!

Thanks,
Mitchell
