I am currently the moderator of the community-australia list, although I
haven't been tending it well lately. (The moderator queue is backed up
with many messages, although practically all of them are spam.)

For the last couple of years, this list hasn't been used for (what I
assume is) its original purpose of fostering discussions and
announcements for Mozilla community members in Australia, and instead
gets the occasional mail asking for Firefox and Thunderbird support from
users in Australia. That's fine, but there are better venues such as
support.mozilla.org for getting help with Mozilla products.

So I propose the mailing list be closed. I'll file a bug to do so at
the end of next week unless there are objections.

Cheers,

Cameron

Perhaps we should consider trying to energise discussion on this list? I’ve been threatening to do this for a while, but so far haven’t had time. Is there anyone on this list who is interested in contributing to Mozilla projects?

Or maybe that energy is better spent in existing local communities (e.g. rustaceans, syd-js, view-source etc etc)
