Open Badges HELP

Good morning
We are currently creating badges in Moodle and have noted that Persona is closing on 30 November 2016.
Due to this closure we are concerned about what will happen to the badges that are linked to our Mozilla backpack account.
Are you able to shed any light on this problem?
Furthermore are the badges we create in Moodle compatible to your openbadges program?

However, based on the following thread, it appears that there are indeed
plans to keep Mozilla Backpack alive after Persona is shut down, by
migrating to an in-house auth system:
