Hello Vuyisile,

Outstanding work for a busy project. For the localisation, you could reach
out to Arky, copied in the cc of this email. He'll offer you alot of help
with that.

Wow, it's seems almost all African communities are planning to throw
webmaker events this year but are having trouble with where to begin from.
I would suggest you first go to webmaker.org checkout the events, thimble
and popcorn tools. Then let's start a separate topic for Webmaker in Africa
on this thread and I'll be happy to guide you. :-)

Glad to see the African awakening ^_^

Regards,

Lawrence

Thanks Lawrence. Arky has been offering guidance to our translation project
and we'll be sure to run to him whenever we run into problems.

I'm looking forward to working with you on the webmaker projects.Let me go
through the resources as you suggest.

We can most definitely put Africa on the map

Hey all,

+1 to Lawrence's encouragement and enthusiasm about the Webmaker events in
Africa.

At this very moment we're working on some updated resources for hosting an
event. They should be ready in 1-2 weeks.

In the meantime, you can find lots of fellow Webmaker and mentors helping
out in our online training: http://training.webmakerprototypes.org

The module called "Facilitating" has lots of tips. You can also check out
these event guides for a fun place to start:
https://events.webmaker.org/#!/event-guides

All the best and happy to help folks start organizing!

Hi Michelle.

Thanks for the link, training will really go a long way in making this possible.

You'll be hearing more from me soon.

Hey Vuyisile,

Just wanted to share that the recent Webmaker Mentor training in Kampala
was a huge success. The Ugandan team can say more (they've already got a
few great blog posts and photos out). It demonstrated the opportunity of
doing a train-the-trainer event with leaders from across the region, and
then practicing with a local school group.

I can really recommend looking into this kind of event for your community,
and maybe seeing if one of the experienced trainers can join you all or at
least help with the agenda planning.

Thank you for this update Michelle. Let me look up the blog posts
right now. This is so inspiring! I can't wait to do this myself.
