That's unfortunately normal in free software.
Mozilla Bugzilla receives more than 2000 new bug reports per week so
there will always be bugs that do not get attention because other things
are more important and because (wo)manpower is limited.
Most often, a bug report only gets assigned to an individual when that
individual plans to work on it.
But free software also means that any individual can pick up the report,
investigate, and start working on fixing the problem.

> , so what mailing list should I ask for help ?

What does "help" mean? Are you interested in writing and contributing a
patch to fix it yourself? That would be great!

> > or what is the devel mailing list ?

As I don't know myself, I found both https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo
and https://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/ via Google. Confusing.

And by the way, comments like "this really sucks" are pointless in
Bugzilla (Bugzilla is not a forum but a technical bugtracker). Also see
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=etiquette.html for some more
information.

Cheers,
andre

Hi Sérgio,

I'm also not sure who to cc on this bug, but the fact that we are
commenting on it may bring it to an interested developer's attention. I
think maybe it was never made to be a priority. Of course, many things
get overlooked in big projects. But the good thing is we can try to
figure out how to help fix it.

I wonder if this is a bug for one of the components in Core rather than
Toolkit? Let's try asking people on IRC.

Assigning itself won't solve the problem. The assignee needs to have
commitment to work on it. Hence you need to talk to people first.
