Hi!

I've rewritten the documentation around uploading banners, and also
added a introduction section that hopefully will help clarify what the
site does and what terms we should use when talking about it.

Check it out: http://affiliates.readthedocs.org/en/latest/

josorio and ekariv: Can you both look through the instructions and test
them out on the staging site at https://affiliates.allizom.org/admin/ ?
After that you can give some feedback on the instructions, and if we're
good, you can then go ahead and update the images on the live site.

Thanks!

Thanks, Mike!

We'll test this out before EOD tomorrow.

Talk to you guys soon!

Thank you,

Jessica

Hey Mike,

I went through the instructions you wrote - they're extremely clear and easy to follow.

I uploaded all of the 'plugin checker' banners on staging to test and it seems to have worked correctly.

One question: Is there any way to upload a mass # of files besides uploading each one? It surprisingly doesn't take THAT long, but it would be nice to save some time.

Regards,

Eli

You can replace all the files for a single banner before you click
save, but you can't do that across banners, sadly. Luckily there's only
a few banners to update, right? :P

I'll check out what you uploaded tomorrow, and if they look good, you
can probably go ahead and update them on prod (well, probably do that
Monday in case something goes wrong). Sound good?

So I checked what you uploaded on stage and everything looks fine, but
when I went to prod to check that the image filenames matched the old
files, I noticed that all of my existing banners seem to have the
updated logo already. Even the plugin check images being used on prod
match the ones you uploaded and have the new logo.

Could the new logos have already been uploaded a while ago, and the bug
just wasn't updated with that fact?

I put them side by side on my computer before I uploaded them and checked with Jessica to confirm that they looked different.

Not really sure what happened here...
