Agreed.

3.6 Upgrade Banners have been made invisible until we can convert the existing banners to Smart Banners (not a priority right now).

Eli

Subject: 3.6 Upgrade Banner: Remove it?

Yo!

So first, here's an example of what I meant by an "Upgrade Banner":
https://affiliates-dev.allizom.org/en-US/generator/categories/4/

You can see the "SMART" label on it, and if you click the question mark
it explains what a Smart Banner is. If you select it and go to the next
step and select a variation, you can see that it shows both variations.

I call them upgrade banners by habit, I'll try and start calling them
Smart Banners. Sorry about that!

Anywho, so I looked into it, and converting the existing 3.6 Upgrade
banner to a Smart Banner on production doesn't seem worth the effort,
because its 125x125 preview size that we added to fix the preview
doesn't have a matching "Out of Date Firefox" version.

Instead, I'm going to suggest we mark the banner as invisible so no new
banners can be generated from it, and then we plan on making a new Smart
Banner with new graphics that match Mozilla's current visual style as
part of the new brief. That way we can plan to have a 125x125 sized
variation with both the "Up-to-date" and "Out-of-date" variations.

That sound like a plan? If so, then go ahead and mark that banner as
invisible in the admin!

Thanks!
