Let me first say, chromebug is invaluable.. if you've ever needed to
debug an extension which modifies the browser's DOM, there's no other
way to do it - when firebug is enabled, venkman stops working (break
points are ignored). So.. to chomebug's author: Thank you!!

Having said that.. is there any future for chromebug?

I've been getting by with multiple parallel firefox installations on
windows - using ff5 to develop/debug and ff7 for final testing. I now
have a need to debug on OSX. ff5 for OSX is no longer available for
download - even tried the wayback machine. I also tried chromebug 1.7b
and 1.8a - neither work.. and for that matter venkman doesn't appear
to work on OSX - indifferent of firebug.

So... no methodology to debug on OSX.

I too am annoyed by the frequency of major firefox releases, but can't
proceed without a debugger - testing via line by line print statements
is not an option.

Anyway... chromebug is great! Any chance it'll be updated?
Thanks in advance!

fyi.. i did finally find the firefox release archive - ff5 for OSX is
here: ftp://archive.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/5.0.1/mac/en-US/.
I'm now debugging on OSX. yeay.

However, still interested if chomebug is dead or just hibernating
until mozilla slows major release cycles.
Thnx!
