Django LDAP auth, take two

Following up on my email a few weeks ago, there are, of course, quite a
number of settings and other tasks (username translation, etc.) required
to do LDAP authentication in a Django app and to access group info and
such, some specific to our LDAP setup, some not. Based on the terseness
of the replies to my last message, I'm guessing that we don't have any
apps that currently do this, but I thought I'd double check before
muddling through it all.
