best Firefox/Minefield version for trying Contacts in the browser

Hi folks

A few months back I started hacking a new importer for the Contacts
addon, then something broke - I upgraded browser to try latest webgl
or somesuch, and since then, I've never had a happy experience
installing.

What is the best setup? Should it work with bleeding edge nightlies?
What version is too old, or too young?

I see 'Firefox 3.6 - 4.0b8pre' in https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/243985/

Should it work equally fine with anything in that range?

I tried to run Contacts in Firefox 4b8 but it sees the addon as an incompatible addon and won't run it.

I guess we need to wait for an update of Contacts to use it again on the latest Firefox betas.
