Hi,

I am looking into the docs for details in adding a button to the
navigation toolbar. Example: Firebug, noscript, greasemonkey allow
buttons to be added to the navigation toolbar.

I found the page which lets add buttons to the addon bar.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/developers/docs/sdk/latest/dev-guide/tutorials/adding-toolbar-button.html

How to add a button to the navigation toolbar?

Thanks

The most commonly used technique is to use Erik Vold's toolbarlib
module, which you can find on github:

https://github.com/voldsoftware/toolbarbutton-jplib

As this is a commonly asked question, I created a builder project that
demonstrates how to use this library:

https://builder.addons.mozilla.org/addon/1044724/latest/

I also created a template github repo verson which pulls in the
toolbar lib and it's dependencies:

cheers, Jeff
