Rocketeers!

The Jetpack SDK source tree is now frozen while we stabilize the last several weeks of development work in preparation for the 0.5 release. We plan to take about a week to do this work, building and testing one or more release candidates until we have something we're happy to release as Jetpack SDK 0.5.

Tentative Timeline
  • 0.5rc1: Wednesday, June 16 (that's today!)
  • 0.6 thaw: Monday, June 21
  • 0.5 final: Wednesday, June 23

Blockers and Low-Risk Patches

During the freeze, only blockers fixes and driver-approved low-risk patches can land. The blocker nomination and approval process is informal: just ask a driver (me or Dietrich, who is helping to drive this release) on IRC (myk, dietrich), email (m...@mozilla.org, diet...@mozilla.com), or by commenting in bug 572302.

Help Wanted

Your assistance is invaluable! Please test release candidates when they become available, and let us know how they work for you. You can comment in this group, file bugs, or talk to us on IRC.
