Hi folks:  I am sure as you've seen - MozCamp Asia and EU were fantastic.  We'd like to bring MozCamp to LATAM in the early part of 2012.  It's been a challenge to come up with a good date - we'd like folks like Mitchell to attend for instance and we're looking at having another Summit in 2012 (July).

It looks like the weekend of April 20 - 22 is the best date.  Can you please flag any *BLOCKER* conflicts?  Additionally, we'd like to host it in Argentina as we haven't had a chance to do a larger event there.

I'd also like to introduce you to the Kate (cc:d here) who joined Mozilla to help work on events on the contributor engagement team.  She'll take the lead on this!

Hope everyone is well - and, I guarantee I will be at MozCamp LATAM - will be great to see everyone!

Hello folks.
Nice to know about it, Mary.
And by the way, welcome Kate :)

It'd be really nice to meet everyone around there(my birthday is on 19th july, jus to mention, it would not be a conflict at all).

I've been working hard and have had not enough time to do the work I'd like to do with Mozilla!
It's one of my wishes for 2012...to do more cool stuff with you guys :), as Mozilla, Firefox and the web itself allows us to!
Actually, I'm already full of new ideas and quite excited!

Cheers .o/

Hi Mary,

I don't see any blocker conflicts for that date, at least from the Brazil's calendar point of view.   April 21st is a federal holiday, but since it is on a Saturday it shouldn't matter much; if anything it would make it easier for some people to go.
The biggest concerns for April would be Easter (Apr 8th this year), and FISL, which has been held in April in the past but seems to be scheduled for July in 2012.

April is usually a busy end-of-quarter month for students, but it's hard to point any week in the year that isn't tough for students in general :)
