The Organizing Committee of the 33rd International Acoustical
Conference -
EAA Symposium ACOUSTICS High Tatras 2006 cordially invites you to
participate in this European meeting of acousticians having a long
lasting
tradition.

This year's conference motto is: Acoustics as a means of improvement of

Conference venue
The conference is to be held in the nicest part of Slovakia, in the
High
Tatra mountains. This mountain range belongs to the nature reservation
Tatra
Mountains National Park. The beginning of October is usually a season
with
mild autumn weather and the best visibility which one can appreciate
during
the walks around the Strbske Pleso lake, watching the monumental High
Tatra
mountains.

The participants will have a possibility to enjoy rich natural,
architectural and historical treasures of the region.

Accommodation
The accommodation for the participants of the conference is available
at the
conference venue - in the reputable Patria Hotel. The hotel is reserved
for
the participants.
The prices of a bed in double rooms, single rooms and apartments range
from
24 Euro /person/night to 64 Euro/person/night including breakfast and
free
entrance to the swimming pool and fitness gym. The participants have
to

Programs for accompanying guests and optional programs
Before, during and after the symposium, the organizers offer several
programs, such as a visit to the church with the biggest Gothic altar
in the
world - Levoca; Spis castle (Spissky hrad), open air museum in
Pribylina and
other interesting sights.

Transport
Airports in Slovakia: Bratislava, Kosice, (and smaller ones in Sliac
and in
Poprad too).

Close airports in neighboring countries: Prague (CZ), Budapest (H).
Austrian Vienna (A) airport is 60 km from Bratislava with a good bus
connection.

The best connection from Bratislava or Kosice to Poprad or Strba is by
train.
Then one must change for:
- local railway from Poprad railway station to Strbske Pleso, or
- cog railway from Strba railway station to Strbske Pleso.
