Use this section is about Final Draft ( i recommend you only use from version 8 or newer ) They are currently up to Version 11 so get that , if you want to be a Screenwriter & cant afford the $100 or so it costs please go and earn the money ! here is where to buy it
https://www.finaldraft.com/ it is the industry standard all the top Screenwriters use . Also as someone recently explained Studio's link Final Draft Screenplay software to other things in their systems like Budgeting software.
There are enough discussions on Facebook about alternatives so i am only going to list alternatives here its up to you to choose what to use , again i recommend Final Draft , if you choose to use something else you better check you are allowed to submit a script created in a different program to any contests, producers, Agents etc ..that's for you to figure out. Do not spend your time writing a script in a format you cant send to people in the industry ! Think about it, if its not written in Final Draft who will actually be willing to open what ever type of file the alternative software you use created ? ok so use Final draft.
Other Software available ..
i hope we can all share tips on how to use it in this thread, thanks
