CfP: 2nd Bodily Expressed Emotion Understanding (BEEU) Workshop @ AAAI

Dear colleagues,

I am excited to invite your contributions to the Bodily Expressed Emotion Understanding (BEEU) Workshop, to be held in Singapore on January 26, 2026, co-located with the 40th Annual AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AAAI). 

If you work on affective computing, gesture understanding, human-robot interaction, psychology, multimodal understanding, movement theory or dance: don’t miss the chance to submit your new or accepted/published research to BEEU 2026! We welcome all research combining emotion, bodily movement (especially posture and gesture), and artificial systems. We invite submissions in multiple flexible formats:
➡️ 2-page Extended Abstracts: To be selected for lightning talks and posters
➡️ 6-8 page Full Papers: To be selected for oral presentations
➡️ Challenge Track: Use a bodily expressed emotion benchmark provided by us to create novel methods or to apply in creative applications

The submission deadline for papers is November 5, 2025, while the challenge leaderboard will remain open until December 31, 2025. We are also planning to host an exciting lineup of invited speakers, panels, and have awards for each challenge and paper presentation track.

We hope you will consider submitting related works to the workshop and participating in fostering rich, interdisciplinary discussions.
