ACM SPARKS: Sensing the Body to Expand Possibilities in Art and Performance
Summary
Biophysical sensing and analysis are opening up new pathways in artistic practice and research. Biosensors and motion tracking that enable real-time tracking of affective states are increasingly used as interactive modalities in performance and computational art, and are also finding their ways into some health applications. These technologies raise important ethical considerations related to data capture and privacy, social forces and values. Please join us for this online seminar of researchers and practitioners working in this exciting space!
Featuring invited talks by Thomas DeFrantz, Grisha Coleman, Kate Sicchio, Professor Camille Baker, Marco Donnarumma, Yiou Wang,Daiane Lopes da Silva, Mark-David Hosale, Ellen Pearlman, and Nina Sobell.
Moderated by Elizabeth Jochum, Bonnie Mitchell, and Alan Macy.
