Due to popular demand by the MoveIt! community,
TRAC-IK
has been added to the ROS Indigo and Jade Debian binaries released via
the ROS apt repository. Currently, the binaries are in the
Shadow Repository
until they are manually moved over to the standard ROS repo. Please
feel free to check out, test, and notify me of success or issues.
Either use the TRAC-IK library directly (drop-in replacement of KDL's
CartToJnt() function) or as a MoveIt! plugin (many people report
improved MoveIt! planning success using TRAC-IK over the default KDL
solver). You can get all relevant packages by installing the meta
package:
sudo apt-get install ros-indigo-trac-ik
Note:
I am working on a kinetic release; however, with MoveIt! currently not
released for Kinetic, the MoveIt! plugin will obviously not be included.
