Hello fellow move to amenders,

Below is a notice of two events at which we might wish to have a presence.  As you can see, we are invited to have a table at August 19th political satire event. The audience should be one that is receptive to our message. I plan to attend the August 19th event and probably the talk at Time Tested Books on 8\22.  It would be good if we could pass out materials at both events.

1. The fabulous SF musical/political/satirical theater group does its annual FREE show in Southside Park (near 7th and T) Sunday, August 19

• Music at 4:30, show at 5:00 -- bring lawn chairs or blankets if you wish.
• Small fliers (4 to a page -- looks OK in color or black & white) attached. You can print and distribute. Or contact me if you want to pick some up. Larger posters too if you have good places to put them.
• Can you help them set up the stage? It would be great if a few strong people could show up at noonish. (Maybe rope your kids in?) We'll be feeding them before the show, and major helpers can partake too.
• To help take it down, simply stick around afterward.
• Want to share some information for you organization? Bring a table and set it up in the shade.
• There will also be shows in Nevada City Aug. 17 and Davis Aug. 18. See the SFMT schedule for details.

2. Former Mayor (and recent candidate for lieutenant governor) Gayle McLaughlin co-founded the Richmond Progressive Alliance, which took back the city from Chevron. She will speak Wednesday afternoon, August 22, on how they did it and to help us think through how we might create a similar coalition here, for more coherent, united, energetic and successful electoral and other local campaigns.
