Lyndsey, Really appreciate you keeping us reminded about the meetings. Unfortunately I will be out of town on Monday and Tuesday, so won't be able to make it, AGAIN. This is why I resigned from the board three years ago when  I got my new job. I am out of town a LOT. BUMEMR, as I was really hoping to make it to catch up with the board on a few issues.

1. Really appreciate the effort with the fountains and the ponds. Looks like we are moving in the right direction. I noticed a couple of fellows on Furlough Friday while I was waiting on a repairman going around the lake a fishing some stuff out with what appeared to be a pool strainer. They didn't stay long, but they did fish some garbage out of the lake. Hopeful that this will continue and that they are also doing the cement ponds.

2. Was wondering if we are ever going to fix the lights at the multi-purpose courts?? Especially the ones which shine out over the lake which provides some light down at the far end (from my house) including the bridge over the outlet. Over the years I know there has been some debate over whether or not this is a good thing. I can tell you that light keeps the bad folks from doing bad things on our property. When the lights are working no one hangs out on the bridge or at that end of the lake. This has been good for our community I believe.

3. I was very glad to see that someone (other than me) put new nets on the two main baskets. Now if we could just get Bruce and his guys out to replace the basket on the small hoop for the little kids, that would be VERY GOOD. While Bruce and his team are out putting up the new hoop, I don't suppose there is an opportunity for the community to pay the $70 to get new nets for the soccer goals is there?? :-) I am hopeful that we will continue to strive o make our entire community better for all.

4. I have been noticing lately that every time I drive past the condos on the weekends, there is trash which has been put out on Saturday/Sunday mornings. I am not sure if there is a solution to this, so this one is just something that we have to continue to push for. Most of the time the trash is right where the Condo board put up the signs. I don't understand why we have people in our community who can't follow simple rules even when the rules are plain as day and signs are posted right where they are breaking them. I understand that LMC has also taken over as the Condo Management Company, so am hopeful that they can bring this issue to that board meeting as well.

Appreciate all that you and the entire board have and continue to do. I promise I will get to the next meeting that I am in town for.

THANX, Jeff

Living in the condos, it is an "ongoing" fight to keep the trash at a minimum on the days that there is no trash pick-up.  Unfortunately (for the owners living in the condos) we have mostly renters now.  Some renters are very good but some don't realize that their actions make the units harder to sell.  Most unit owners that rent out their units are AWOL.  And the populations in the individual units in some cases is families with alot more trash.  Some condo people seem to treat the trash areas as a place to put their trash when they no longer want to see it in their units.  On many occasions, I have "rebagged" trash that was left out side on a Saturday morning, and destroyed by the ducks.   I am very happy to see kids out on the "tennis courts" and would like to see new soccer nets.  For the most part, I see "good" kids out there, and it gives them a place to go and meet other kids in the neighborhood while burning off some calories.

For some reason, I don't think my post was shared.

The trash problem has been on-going for a while.  I have gone out in front of my building and "re-bagged" alot of plastic trash bags that have been put out on Saturday mornings for the ducks to attack.  The bags that people use are cheap, and often not sturdy enough to last a weekend outside.  Alot of people in the condos are now renters and alot of  owners are AWOL.  The owners just want their rent and they don't care what goes on outside of getting their money - in some cases - there are a few good owners.  Signs have been put in buildings with warnings about when trash is supposed to be put out ( my building for one) but they have been defaced  and ripped off the bulletin boards.
