My understanding is now you must purchase a copy of CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, in their wisdom the Board apparently thinks it to much of a burden for the Management Company to maintain and provide a copy to the owners.
You can get a copy thru the link below. When entering the Condo Association be sure to SPELL IT OUT or you will get a ‘not found message”. Rest assured however that the Insurance Coverage is in effect. I am attaching a copy of an
“Information Copy” I downloaded. I don’t know if this is sufficient for your needs though. You may need to purchase a complete certified copy.

So we would have to buy it every year we need proof of insurance for a copy or just that one time? And I don't understand why do we have to pay for a copy? It can't be uploaded somewhere for everyone to get?
In my humble opinion this is just another instance of the Board of Directors loosing sight of serving the best interests of the association members. I do not know what led to this process being adopted or the rational behind it. It was either approved by the Board as a change in policy or even worse it was done by the Management Company without the knowledge of the Board of Directors.
My experience with this management company is that they manage the Board as opposed to the Board overseeing the management company in implementing the directions of the Board.
The Board of Directors of the “Mt. Vernon Condominium Association” are people elected by Condo Owners annually. They normally meet on the 3rd Monday each month at the Government Center. It would nice to see more than
The 3 or 4 owners who actually show up for these meeting. That would be the perfect place to express concerns and problems.
You should have been given all of this information when you purchased your unit.
I know all of this information. I use to serve on the board years ago. I know the information. But the date of the meetings no longer work with my schedule so I'm not able to show up anymore. I just wanted to know who the actual elected officials now are that's all. I know all the rules and policies and stuff but this situation is so frustrating and difficult to get help with.
Well I guess if you are so informed and know all the information, you know all the rules and policies, I don’t understand why you are asking questions.
You must also know if your schedule is so complicated you can’t participate in the process that ultimately determines the quality of our association, you probably shouldn’t be complaining.
You could have kept those comments to yourself. You made a comment about meetings and I answered that. So no point for you to get smart with me cause I wasn't smart with you. I am having the same issue others have had getting this information for what it is needed for . Hence why, I came to the group. That's what it is for right? But thanks to those who contacted me offline with help. So at this point no need to go back and forth with you. And by the way, I might not show up to all meetings like I use to but I do make the annual meetings at the very least. But as an owner, I'm able to give my opinion at any point I like. Hence, the reason at any point any owner can show up to meetings and be heard with any issues they may have, so you can't silence someone just because they don't show up constantly.
Thanks!
