Retrofit Baltimore, is a green program of the local non-profit Civic Works, which aims to help homeowners realize the benefits of comprehensive home energy improvements.

Mt. Washington Community Energy Meeting
Thursday, June 14, 2012
Baltimore Clayworks
7:00pm-8:00pm
RSVP to the event!

Similar to what the Baltimore Neighborhood Energy Challenge (BNEC) did a few years ago, Retrofit Baltimore is working within the Mt. Washington neighborhood to stir up community momentum around home energy efficiency.  We are pushing for a comprehensive, whole-house approach to reducing energy costs by 20-40%, that systematically addresses inadequate insulation and air leakage of your home.

Our first aim is to provided trusted science-based information on the building science of your home, the benefits of a retrofit, and the financial incentives available today.  We then help homeowners take the steps to start saving now.  Rather than letting you navigate the process alone, one of our staff will continue to serve as your personal advocate, linking you with a local contractor and walking you through each step of the retrofit process.  Finally, we guarantee an added benefit: all your investments in energy efficiency stay local, benefiting the Baltimore economy and creating green jobs for underserved Baltimore residents.
