Massive amounts of explosive crude oil being shipped through Baltimore is a disaster waiting to happen. Learn more about the proposed oil export terminal, and how we can stop it together. The map above shows the evacuation and possible impact areas for an oil train disaster in Baltimore. Dear , Did you know that oil companies want to start moving more than a million gallons of explosive crude oil by train through the center of Baltimore each day? These trains would carry the same oil, in the same unsafe oil tankers, as those involved in the horrific derailment explosion that killed 47 people in Quebec last year.1 Since then, there have been a record number of oil train accidents across the United States. If you've never heard about their plans to build the Targa oil export terminal in Baltimore, you aren't alone. That's why we're co-sponsoring a public information meeting tomorrow night with our friends at the Chesapeake Climate Action Network.
