Ira --

In your email posting yesterday re.  a Jan 5 meeting between MWIA and CHIMES, you used the phrase "In an effort to keep ALL Mt. Washingtonians 'in the loop'."

You put such emphasis on ALL in your email that it made me curious about what that actually means vis a vis your email. It suggests all of the approximately 1600 households in Mount Washington. But I dont want to make an incorrect assumption if you actually meant listserv subscribers? If you meant the listserv, I know that can unfortunately give a false impression that your email is reaching more households than it actually is since our household, for example, accounts for at least 4 email addresses.

Also, please give us the updated figure for MWIA membership i.e. how many households are MWIA members.

Thanks in advance, Ira for all your answers to these questions.

Hi Ira,
Here's the report on the meeting that Denise sent.  I will be touching base with her today and will make sure that
she sends future reports to you.  I am sure this was just an oversight-- she was pressing herself
to get this done quickly before last weekend.
Robin

Hi Robin,

As you know, Thursday, January 5, Ira Kolman, Mac Nachlas, Paul Levine, David Nemerson and I met with representatives from the Chimes about their proposed solar panel array.  In attendance for the Chimes were Marty Lampner, Doug Turnabugh (head of facilities for the Chimes), Walter Mullins (on Doug's staff at the Chimes),  and Dave Miller from Bith Energy.

The agenda for the meeting was as follows:

I.      Introductions

II.     Formation of Committee per Covenants

III.    Discussion of Issues Raised So Far by Community

IV.     Current Status of Chimes Proposal

V.      Plan for Moving Forward
              a.      schedule regular meetings of committee
              b.      schedule open meeting for community

At the meeting, we followed the agenda and established the following:

1) The Chimes agreed to comply with the Covenants and participate in a committee with the community to review the proposed solar array panel.
2)  Ira formally appointed me, Paul Levine and David Nemerson to the committee to represent MWIA.
3)  The Chimes named Marty Lampner, Doug Turnabugh and Dave Miller to the committee to represent the Chimes.
4)  The committee decided to meet bi-weekly.
5)  The committee decided to hold an open community meeting on Saturday, February 11th at 2 pm at Curtis Hall.  We will start the meeting in Curtis Hall (the flat roofed modern brick building), and can proceed to the yard of 1813 Thornbury if desired.

Please share this information with interested neighbors.

Thanks,
Denise

Ira is out of town.   There are several community bulletin boards as well as a group that Robin has set up for people who have self-identified themselves as interested in this topic.   I think Ira posted to the others that he knows to try to reach as many people as possible... including the Mt-Washington Green Club and the larger Google Groups list serve.

The best way to stay up on community news is to attend the open meetings of the MWIA every other month to hear the reports of all the committees as well as special guests and discussions of community topics.

Mac
