Those Whose Hearts Lie Humbled Before the Threshold of the King of
Kings

All praise belongs to Allah the Indivisible, and may His peace and
blessings be upon the Final Prophet and Messenger

Do you know about those whose hearts lie humbled before the threshold
of the King of Kings?

May Allah's Mercy be upon them as long as the Light of the Most
Bountiful Lord shines upon the Heavens and the Earth.

A rich and limitless bounty as well as a continuous pleasure of the
eyes in the Gardens of the Most Merciful for you O' People of such
high concerns.

Companions of goodly righteousness sent forth as beacons of guidance
and knowledge; indeed a blessing most Divine!

Blessed be the Most Merciful to the far reaching extent of their
concerns ... No matter how long their epic tales may be, they will
never do justice in regards to illustrating the nobility of their
character.

They are the best of all creation, the leaders of all leaders!

They are like the sea, and were it not for them we would not know the
cultured beauty of the pearls from the sea.

They are like the stars, and were it not for them we would not know
the radiant guidance of the stars.

They are like the tress, and were it not for them we would not know
the lovely fragrance of flowers or the sweetness of fruit.

They are … suffice it to say that they are the chosen ones of Allah
and His workers upon the earth.

And even till this day there are people who follow in their noble
footsteps,

But don't imagine them to be few! Indeed they are thousands followed
by thousands; and they shall never be harmed by those who oppose them
until the coming of the Hour.

And when the Noble Messenger of Allah (may the peace and blessings of
Allah be upon him) called the people to pledge the oath of allegiance
under the tree at Aqabah, the first of them to come forward was Abi
Sinaan (may Allah be pleased with him). And so he said to the
Messenger (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), “Stretch
forth your hand to me that I may pledge allegiance.” And to this the
Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied,
“And to what will you pledge your allegiance?” So Abi Sinaan (may
Allah be pleased with him), with all surety and trust, said, “I pledge
my allegiance to whatever you are going to tell us to do!”

To Allah belongs the Praise O’ Soldiers of Allah!

A response to which the pen cannot do justice and that which confounds
and stuns the mind!

How tremendous was their determination in regards to supporting the
Message!

Indeed they pledged their allegiance even before the Prophet (may the
peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) told them what he was
considering or even what he wished from them.

A strength of faith and certainty in the Message in their hearts that
accompanied their actions in service of their Lord as they traversed
the path to Him, the All-Mighty and Supreme, seeking the beauty of His
face even more than the enjoyment of His eternal reward.

Their humility and fear is so great that they are worried that even
the slightest transgression will take them away from their Most
Beloved Lord.

May Allah have mercy on that one who used to closely inspect his face
daily for fear that his sins would have accumulated to the extent of
blackening his face, and he used to say (may Allah forgive him), “The
hearts of the righteous are hanging on to their final deeds, whereas
the hearts of those nearest to Allah are hanging on to the deeds they
did in the past.”

Such are they who anxiously said, “How will Allah look upon that which
we did?” whereas those of the first group would anxiously wonder,
“Upon what will we die?”

Indeed, they were fretfully restless, saintly, and courageous -
competing with one another in goodness and righteousness for the
Gardens of Delight prepared by their Lord.

O Allah, indeed you are the Forgiving One who loves to pardon, so
pardon us, forgive us and have mercy upon us! Expiate our sins and
don’t disgrace us on the great Day of Assembly for indeed we have
placed our good hopes in You!

O Allah use us in support of Your noble religion, Your glorious Book,
and the Sunnah of Your Beloved Messenger and Prophet (may the peace
and blessings of Allah be upon him), and make us from those who are
upon guidance!

And Allah is the source of all sincerity.
