Same here in Gatineau, Québec (Canada) - our antenna is on the roof of the Université du Québec en Outaouais.
Lots of negotiations were required, surprisingly, even if we had the support of the local biology professor.
We were not allowed to connect to the LAN and download the data remotely, which is unfortunate. Also, we had unexpected costs of an electrician hired from the University to bring power on the roof - very expensive!!
We pushed for this location because it has an ideal location - along a major migration corridor (Ottawa river) and on top of a hill...so it was worth the pain.
