Hi everyone,

I'm working on constructing a reference of harness sizes for attaching VHF tags to various species. I'm hoping that the group can help fill this out for future use by our collaborators! If anyone has experience attaching tags using the backpack-style harnesses, could you please forward me (off-list is fine) the following info?:

Species
Harness size (snug), in millimetres (this is the same as the length of a single loop) - e.g. Blackpoll Warbler is a 33-36mm harness
Number of tags attached on this species (approximate is OK for large sample sizes)

If you have info on multiple species, please send all of it! I'll work on getting the reference table posted on motus.org in a readable way when it's complete.

Thanks,
David

Hey again everyone,

I should specify that this is for the leg-loop style backpack harness, as shown in the 'deployment methods' article on Motus: http://motus.org/data/download/tag_deployment_methods.pdf - pages 5-7.

Thanks,
David
