Here's more information on the 1966 Duesenberg pictured below: http://www.carstyling.ru/en/car/1966_duesenberg_model_d/images/17123 / .  Note the Ghia emblem behind the front wheel.  The prototype unit is at the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg museum in Auburn, Indiana.
The man in the photo with it is Virgil Exner who designed other retro inspired prototypes in that era, including the Stutz Blackhawk.

5. OHHHH, 1 OF MY FAVORITES, THE 1971 STUTZ BLACKHAWK, WITH PONTIAC GRAND PRIX PLATFORM.
TOO MANY SPECIAL FEATURES TO GO INTO HERE, BUT WILL MENTION FITTED LUGGAGE IN THE INTERIOR
AND EXPOSED REAR CONTINENTAL TIRE. IT CAME WITH SPECIAL 17" FIRESTONE LXX WHEELS AND TIRES.
THE BODY WAS HANDCRAFTED IN ITALY BY CARROZERIA PADANA. 
THIS APPEARS TO BE A DEALER OR FACTORY BROCHURE.

6. FROM THE HOUSE OF GHIA COMES THIS CHRYSLER IMPERIAL LIMOUSINE,
ALWAYS MADE IN LOW NUMBERS. MRS. JAQUELINE KENNEDY HAD ONE, SO DID 
OTHER NOTABLES. THIS IS A 1960 MODEL. 
NOTE HOW IT OVERSHADOWS EVERYTHING ELSE IN THIS PHOTO.


7. STATELY AND OH, SO EXCLUSIVE.





8. CALM DOWN CLASS, AND STOP LAUGHING, THIS ONE DOES BELONG AMONG THIS GROUP.
PAY ATTENTION... AND BEHOLD THE LAST YEAR FOR A CADILLAC WITH ROUND HEADLIGHTS.
THIS IS A 1974 FLEETWOOD BROUGHAM, BUT EQUIPPED WITH THE RARE TALISMAN OPTION.


9. PLEASE STUDY THE WAY THE TOP IS SHAPED BETWEEN THE DOORS. THAT CURVATURE AROUND THE WINDOWS,
CALLED THE B-PILLAR GAVE THIS MODEL A MOST FORMAL LOOK.
I ALSO THINK THE COLOR COMBO SHOWN HERE LOOKS FANTASTIC!


10. YES BOYS AND GIRLS, CARS USED INTERIORS LIKE THIS IN THE 70's. EVEN BY CADILLAC STANDRDS THOUGH,
THE TALISMAN WAS PLUSH, AND CAME WITH SPECIAL PENS AND OTHER NICETIES FOR THE ON-THE-GO EXECUTIVE.

THE LINCOLN CONTINENTAL, THIS ONE THE COMPLETELY REDESIGNED 1970. 
STYLING CUES FOR THE GRILL CAME FROM THE 
COFFIN NOSED 1936 CORD, AN AMERICAN CAR WE WILL STUDY NEXT WEEK. 
THIS FULL SIZE LINCOLN DID AWAY WITH THE REAR HINGED BACK DOORS,
FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1961. EVEN SO, THIS AUTOMOBILE EXUDES PRESENCE.

A COHERENT DESIGN FOR SUCH A BIG 2 DOOR, THIS ONE IS ALL BLACK.

15. HERE WE CAN SEE HOW THE CONTINENTAL WAS MARKETED. 
AN ULTIMATE REWARD FOR THE ALL AMERICAN MAN.

The 1970 Lincoln Continental was the first altogether new Lincoln in nearly a decade. 

Every interior and exterior dimension was increased.

IT ANNOUNCED IT HAD FUSELAGE STYLING, AND WHEN YOU LOOK AT IT CLOSELY, 
THAT DESCRIPTION IS SO APPROPRIATE. THIS IS THE TOP LEBARON MODEL, 
WITH SMALLER REAR WINDOW. I LATER BORROWED ONE FOR A DREAM DATE. . .

21. A HUGE IMAGE OF A HUGE CAR. LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THOSE REAR QUARTER PANELS! YES TRISHA, THAT IS A PRETTY BUMPER AND TAILIGHTS, YES INDEED. YOU MAY EVEN SEE WHY THEY CALLED IT FUSELAGE STYLING TOO.


22. NOW LETS FOCUS ON MORE AFFORDABLE AUTOS. HERE WE HAVE 
THE NEWLY REDESIGNED GENERAL MOTOR BIG CARS FOR 1965, THIS 
ONE A BUICK WILDCAT 2 DOOR HARDTOP IN  RED. NOTE THE CONCAVE
REAR END, THE SHAPE APPEARS TO BE BEING BLOWN BACK BY THE WIND, 
LIKE A DRESS, SUGGESTING SPEED. THIS CAR WEARS A NON-ORIGINAL 
REAR VIEW MIRROR ON DOOR BUT THE REST IS EXACTLY 
AS IT LEFT THE FACTORY. A PURE DESIGN.


23. THE SAME CAR, BUT 1 YEAR NEWER, THIS IS A 1966. 
FENDER TRIM HAS BEEN REVISED AND THIS ONE HAS THE CORRECT MIRROR.
MAGNIFICENT SHAPE FOR SUCH A BIG CAR, THE TOP IS WONDERFUL.



24. ALL RIGHT GUYS AND GIRLS, RECOGNIZE THIS ONE....MICHAEL? 
NO, ITS NOT A LINCOLN, BUT YOU ARE CLOSE!  ITS A 1969 MERCURY
MARAUDER X100. YES, I KNOW, NOT MANY OF YOU MAY HAVE HEARD ABOUT IT,
IT WAS A SPECIAL MODEL WITH A UNIQUE ROOF.


25. HERE IS ANOTHER VIEW OF THE MARAUDER X100. TAKE A LOOK AT 
THE UNIQUE WHEELS AND CLEAN SIDES, THIS ONE WEARS NEAT RED PINSTRIPING.

THOSE GUYS ARE PROBABLY OUT LOOKING FOR GIRLS, YOU COULD BE RIGHT!


27. REAR ROOF BUTRESSES WERE UNIQUE TO MARAUDER COUPE THIS YEAR.
 EXHAUST TIPS ARE NON-STOCK.


28. FACTORY PHOTO SHOWS THE FLAT BLACK CONTRASTING REAR INSERT AT ROOF/TRUNK.
THIS WAS A SIMPLE BUT CLEVER DESIGN WHICH WORKED, GIVING THE CAR A SPECIAL LOOK.
MARAUDERS COULD BE HAD IN 1 COLOR, BUT ONLY THE TOP MODEL X100 CAME WITH THIS FLAT BLACK PANEL.


29. ALL RIGHT, WHO REMEMBERS AMERICAN MOTORS?!! YES 
LINDA, THEY MADE A CAR CALLED THE AMERICAN, THATS CORRECT.
THE ONE WE SEE HERE IS CALLED MARLIN, LIKE THE FISH, YES.
NOTICE HOW RIGHT THOSE VERTCAL HEADLIGHTS LOOK IN THIS CAR.
THE COLOR WORKS WELL HERE TOO. AGAIN, WE SEE CLEAN SIDES.

30. OH, I JUST LOVE THIS SHOT OF A WHITE MARLIN AGAINST THAT GREEN FIELD! WE CAN ALL SEE THE SHAPE OF THE TOP HERE, ISNT IT PRETTY? 
THIS WAS A NEW DESIGN FOR THE MARLIN, WHICH WASNT AS SLEEK THE YEARS BEFORE.


31. FEAST YOUR EYES ON THAT FASTBACK KIDS! CONTRASTING PAINT ON TOP WAS TYPICAL
AND ACCENTUATED THE TAPERED PANEL. LOOKING GOOD IN YELLOW RIGHT?
NOTE REAR SIDE MARKER LIGHT IN SHAPE OF AN ARROW, WELL DONE DETAIL.



32. ANOTHER SHOT OF THE 1967 AMERICAN MOTORS MARLIN. 
THE SHAPE WAS JUST RIGHT, BUT SINCE THE 2 PREVIOUS YEARS HAD A 
LESS EXCITING SHAPE, THEY DID NOT SELL WELL, SO THAT THESE 1967's
WERE THE LAST YEAR FOR MARLIN. GOOD LUCK FINDING ONE, 
I HAVE NOT SEEN ONE IN YEARS....SIGH.


33. NOW, HERES A SURPRISE FOR ALL OF YOU WHO LOVE CLASSICS! HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THE THE 1966 DUESENBERG? 
NO, THEY DID NOT MAKE MODERN DUESENBERGS IN THE 60s BUT THE CAR YOU SEE HERE WAS A PILOT FOR A COMPANY WHICH WAS 
GOING TO BRING THAT FAMOUS CAR BACK TO MARKET! AFTER MUCH CAPITAL AND FANFARE, THE WHOLE ENTERPRISE RAN OUT OF MONEY.
THIS WAS A GIANT CAR WITH GIGANTIC AMBITIONS AND THIS PROTOTYPE IS A MASTERPIECE. IT CLEARLY PAYS HOMAGE TO 
THE GRAND CLASSICS, IN ITS FENDERWELLS, MASSIVE RADIATOR AND OTHER PARTICULARS. PLATFORM WAS CADILLAC BASED IF I 
REMEMBER CORRECTLY. PLEASE LOOK IT UP CLASS, AND THE BEST ANSWER WILL GET 3 STARS  AND AN A FOR PROJECT.
