Last weekend we had a great ride from downtown to Lookout Mountain and back. We managed to finish before getting rained on. Yeah!
Next weekend:
Larry, Gary, and Debby and I are riding the NMSS High Roller Ride on Saturday. If you raise $2,000 or more this year, you will be in the High Roller Club next year. There are many perks so go ahead and start fundraising right away!
Sherrie and Bill and a few other teammates plan to ride a century ride on Sunday. The route will begin with the Cinnamon Roll Ride and then continue on from there to make 100 miles. Bring your own food (or plan to shop at convenience stores along the way). They will use public restrooms along the way as well. This is a non-supported, do-it-yourself (with teammates) kind of ride. For those wanting to ride but not quite wanting a century, you can simply do the ride to Johnson’s Corner and then turn around (about 54 miles). If you want less, just ride out as far as you like and then turn around.
When: Sunday, May 31st at 6:15 a.m.
Start Location: I-25 and Colorado Hwy 7 at the Larkridge Shopping Center in the parking lot just south of Gunther Toody’s. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Gunther+Toody's+-+Thorton/@39.997298,-104.9735256,17z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0000000000000000:0x88f07c4d2a49fff1
Please note that Sherrie and Bill plan to ride the century and will be leaving at about 6:15. If you plan to start later than that and need information about the route (which is simply north on the I-25 frontage road), please call Sherrie at 303.257.4390 or email me.
Here’s what we’re tentatively planning for the remaining weekends before the BikeMS event:
Sunday, June 7th – Rocky Flats Loop
Sunday, June 14th – Chatfield, Deer Creek Canyon, and/or High Grade
Weekend of June 20th and 21 – tbd
No matter where you’re riding, enjoy the ride and be safe.
Your Motley Co-Captain,
Erika
