Hello,
Motley’s. On Sunday, 5 of us rode the
Rocky Flats ride. We decided it would be
appropriate to rename it the “Rocky – not so flat – Flats” ride. Lots of large, rolling hills made for great
training for the MS ride. The weather was beautiful!
Don’t forget to continue fundraising!! We have a mere two weekends until the BikeMS 2015 ride.
Since the Chatfield route is still questionable, we’ve decided to ride from Bergan Park to Echo Lake this Sunday. Here are the details.
When: Sunday, June 14th at 7:45 for an 8:00 start
Where: Bergan Park Park-N-Ride parking lot. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Bergen+Park+PnR/@39.6897114,-105.3624441,17z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x876b98d44748ece3:0xc1b6794e912ecdea
What: Squaw Pass. This ride is about 38-40 miles. However, since it is an out and back, as you go up, remember you also get to go down on the return. It starts with a 15-16 mile climb followed by about 3 miles down to Echo Lake. Then on the return, a 3 mile climb and a 15-16 mile descent.
The weather changes very quickly in the mountains so come prepared with some warm weather gear.
Jerseys and T-shirts will be ready to hand out this weekend. Please come to the ride to pick up your jersey. We have 5 extras of various sizes if anyone would like to purchase one (cost is still $25.00).
I hope to see many of you this weekend. Ride safe and enjoy!
Your Motley Co-Captain,
Erika
