I just noticed that I was getting over 100 recordings per day on my cameras. Given the base settings recommended by starbaseSSD, what would you tweak to bring that down to 10-20/day? Thanks!

First, turn on Settings, Motion Detection,, Show Frame Changes.
Then figure out how to reduce the triggers, either by reducing sensitivity, masking out the triggered areas, or increase the number of frame changes / frames changed before triggering.
When yoi are happier, turn off Settings, Motion Detection,, Show Frame Changes.

It is helpful to say what version of motionEye, and which OS you are using, and whether it's a CSI (ribbon cable), IP or USB camera.
Setting a square to red means motion detected in that area won't trigger recording. I cannot recommend using the 'smart' function.
What issue(s) are you having?
