I am new to all this so I might be making a fool of myself asking this, but is it possible to have the following setup :

• Wireless IP camera at my work
• Raspberry Pi running motionEye at home
• Get access to the motioneye web UI from anywhere

The idea would be to have the physical storage of the surveillance footage ( SD card in the Pi ) at a different place to the camera... And also to be able to access the UI not just when I'm at home.

Is something like this possible?

Also does motioneye support control of the motorised pan/tilt IP cameras?

Sorry for my ignorance, I've never played with a Raspberry Pi before and network stuff confuses me.

Cheers
Jules.

I seriously doubt you want to put a computer on your local network running services that are accessible to the Internet at large., given that this "network stuff" confuses you.
Unless you really know what you are doing, putting a Pi visible to the Internet at large will end up being hacked in short order and provide a vector to attack your entire local network.
You could end up mining cryptocurrency for a central European crime syndicate, or worse serving up banned content on the dark web.

Use a cloud service "middle man" as they've dealt with attackers from day one.  Have your netcam at work and your motioneye at home upload to the cloud service, view your images via the cloud service.
