Hey,

I have several sonoff gk-200mp2-b camera's setup in MotionEye.

For some reason everytime the camera's switch from IR to regular light (or from regular light to IR), it's being detected as some kind of motion and I get a e-mail notification. When I check the rooms it's just either a grey picture of the room (IR) or a color picture of the room (regular light). Nothing special to notice...

No matter what I try adjusting the settings, it's still being detected as a motion when IR is turned on the camera...

Frame change treshold is set all the way to 20% (setting to 2, 5, 10% did not help)
Auto Treshold Tuning is disabled (off)
Auto Noise detection is enabled (on)
Light detection is disabled (set to 0) (enabling did not help)
Despeckle filter is currently off (enabling it did not help)
Motion Gap = 30
Captured before = 10
Captured after = 20
Minimum motion frames = 20

Mask is currently off
Smart mask did not help (tried values 5, 7, 10)
Editable mask did not help either (masked out the windows, to ignore the changing daylight)

How can I change the configuration in MotionEye so that the switch between IR and regular light is being ignored?

Thanks in advance.

My ELP 1MP IR cameras have always done that (5 – 6 years), motion at sunrise, then again at sundown.  I’ve always considered it normal thinking this way… since it’s the camera that’s doing the switching (color to B&W IR, and back), but not doing the motion detection, this is motion to MotionEye.  Could be the same as a person or object quickly passing by the face of the camera.

It is an effect of all or virtually all pixels changing from IR to non-IR (or the reverse). It happens in a sunny/shaded shaded room in my home almost continuously during the afternoon. It happens on the motion detection built in the camera, as well as motion/motionEye on my production hub. Frustrating, but I've got my Hub to not freak out as bad/as often as the camera with all those settings...
I just live with it since the cameras are at least as affected as motion/motionEye...

Thanks for the answers. So currently there is nothing we can really do about it in motioneye...

I found a solution like this: https://github.com/roleoroleo/sonoff-hack
A custom firmware/hack to control the sonoff camera

The firmware has ssh and crontab support which means in theory I could just ssh to the camera, open crontab and "disable IR at 8 o'clock in the morning" and then "enable IR at  8 o'clock in the evening". So the trigger happens only once in the morning and evening. (or none at all if I play with the work schedule)

Sadly it's not possible to turn off the IR led's on command (yet?), other people asked the same question:  https://github.com/roleoroleo/sonoff-hack/issues/26

Otherwise I could do something along the lines like this: https://github.com/fritz-smh/yi-hack/issues/84

Disable IR LED with the command:
/home/sendMq 0x10 1 0x1141 0
crontab job with that command

However this works for a "Yi camera" not a Sonoff...
