noticed that sometimes (not very often, but would like to know why/how) motioneyeOs will 'lose' a camera -- guessing it is really losing the camera device?

currently just delete the camera and add again but would like to know why this is happening

thanks

Version of mEOS, hardware, and type of network connectivity?
Is it always the same camera?

Common issues are:
Overheating in Pi
WiFi connection issues (weak signal or radio noise interference)
Questionable MicroSDCard (speed)
CPU overload on the Pi (low powered CPU Pi2 or earlier, PiZero)
Too many cameras for the Pi

thanks for the replay/questions -- will monitor

motionEyeOS dev20201026 on RPI3B+  with 2 USB cameras attached (same RPI that i posted about having issues with setting IP address so maybe more issues than just the bad HDMI port that i had marked it) -- wifi 2.4GHz

will monitor if it is same camera (might well be -- it's a USB web camera that was attached to a RPI W that is outside (which is performing very well considering that it is outside (although under the garage eave) in temperatures that have been over 100ºF to -20ºF)  -- will monitor which camera

could be the RPI itself (having more issues than just a bad HDMI port

thanks
