Issue setup login into rtsp cam

I'm trying to use motioneye to stream a network ip cam.

with videolan (VLC) or Zoneminder i can stream from the cam
using the following url:

rtsp://user:password@IP:554/11

WIth motion eyes the issue is that i cannot insert this url into the login configuration.
see below pictures.

However if i insert in the configuration step the url without the 'user:password@' (so  rtsp://IP:PORT/11)
and the credential into the user / password field in the motion eye config field the cam is configured but i cannot see the stream.

Any clues?

Is this kind of authentication supported from motion eye?

Any way i found the stream url

rtsp://username:password@192.168.X.XXX/11

BUT
motion eye doesn't accept into the setup login fields

the ":" and the "@" produce errors in the cam url fields

If i use
rtsp://ip:554/11/
and i insert user and password in the motion eye fields

i watch the log and i see
rtsp://ip:554/11/

so in the /var/log i found:

rtsp_connect: unable to open input(rtsp://ip:554/): -825242872 - Server returned 401 Unauthorized (authorization failed)
