I was looking for the best camera for motionEye

compared to Amcrest or Hikvision MotionEye as relatively view features

Now I came accoss the Arducam Raspberry Pi IMX477 Pan Tilt Zoom Camera

https://youtu.be/pgE03ASm76E

Since it is a Raspberry Pi camera I suppose it should work with MotionEye

what is special about the  Arducam Raspberry Pi IMX477 Pan Tilt Zoom Camera?

- It offers a 5 x optical zoom

- It has pan and tilt functionality

- it has infrared night vision support

- only an IR light needs to be added which should not be too difficult

- The software which si demonstrated in the above video can be downloaded from GITHUB:

https://github.com/ArduCAM/PTZ-Camera-Controller

- There are some examples which have integrated pan and tilt in motionEye for other cameras

- The Pi IMX477 has no MotionEye integration

- But pan, tilt, zoom and nightvison can be controlled by keyboard shorcuts.

- we can buy the Pi IMX477 from uctronics in China for 200 USD:

- PiHut offers the camera only for £57.08:

https://thepihut.com/products/5mp-1080p-pan-tilt-zoom-ptz-camera-for-raspberry-pi

- And a 2 DoF Full Metal Pan Tilt Kit for Raspberry Pi 4 for £66.58  which unfortunately has been discontinued:

https://thepihut.com/products/2-dof-full-metal-pan-tilt-kit-for-raspberry-pi

- Eventually I find a replacement.

This means that the Arducam Raspberry Pi IMX477 is availabe for around 150 to 300 incl. shipping can be used with MotionEye and has features of a high end camera.
