Could you be more specific?
You mean the two video streams don't show anything?

Yes I have 2 different ip cameras

Foscam FI9901EP Ultra HD 4MP PoE Wired IP Camera &
ieGeek Security Outdoor Camera 1080P

MotioneyeOS is upto date

I have reset both camera's and supplied the default username/password

As for security ? Like what ?  as far as I am aware no security in place as yet.

Thanks

Security would be for the cameras username:password. Do the cameras have their own web page that you can see video on directly?
such as   http://192.168.0.24 or http://192.168.0.24:(port#) and can you see video there?

I'm sorry, sometimes it's hard to be clear. Can you use a web browser, not their proprietary software, to see the video?

OK,

just working on the Foscam for now,

Totally reset the camera to defaults and started from scratch.

So with the ip allocated to the camera I get the foscam log in page

I log into it and can see the camera picture.

when I enter the same details into motioneye OS it accepts the settings and displays no red text errors.

but then I'm back to a grey square

this is the motion.log file

Try lowering resolution to 640x480 as a start. More in a few minutes.

Here's instructions on where the mjpeg stream is available and where the h.264 stream is. Try these instead of the rtsp stream.

I seem to have lost the thread to it

Hi Dave,
There was a bug i Motion (I think) for RTSP streams, where if the password for the camera was blank, that it would not authenticate to the camera, and you'd end up with the gray box. I think if you upgrade to the 4.1.1 or later motion version, then I believe that solves that problem. Alternatively, you can set a password on the camera, and that may solve your issue.
