i am looking at building a security system and came acrossed the esp32-cam seems like a small low power camera with wifi has anyone used this with a motioneyeos server??
on a side note i am trying to figure out "night vison" with out pinl day time camera image how can this be addressed??????


any help would be awesome
i am willing to build stuff and want to learn a lot more

First problem is does the esp32 camera have standard output streaming in the software? Most don't seem to.
For the cost and lack of need to develop your own, you can but PiZeroWs and PiCams, and nowadays, you can pick up USB Webcams that were designed for laptops for $1-$2 and attach to PiZeroWs.
PiZeroWs also have cases available, so you wouldn't need to make your own...
But to each their own...

I have managed to do this by updating the standard software on the esp using the steps here: 


You can then get a http stream that you can use with motioneyeos. 

It worked but the camera wasn’t that great so it’s not in use at the moment.
