motech/Commcare integration

What is the status of the motech/commcare integration ? Has there been
analysis/design work ? Any code ? Andy Kanter, MVP, was asking about
this and I think he is on a tight time schedule (who isn't, right ?)

Hopefully someone with more recent knowledge can fill in any gaps in my
recellection

I don't think any actual development work has begun. I also think the
integration that was discussed is very tightly coupled to the current
implementation. There should be some resuable work around the parsing
and generating of caseXML, but the ability to understand what is in the
caseXML and how it releates to different protocols is not part of a
generic commcare module, but rather specific to the care implementation.

I am including Aravind into this.

In terms of concrete development Drishti project in Karnataka (Bangalore is capital of this state) is the only one which has any code checked in. https://github.com/Topol/dristhi. This is work under progress which is based on the API provided by the CommCare. This project also uses motech we are doing in Bangalore office, but outside the Grameen+TW motech projects.
