There.  I said it.   

As a planner it is hard for me to admit it, but sometimes it is the
off-schedule moments that make an event.  Even at MOT.  So if you would
rather spend Friday night at dinner offsite with long lost friends, Saturday
morning soaking in the hot tub, or Saturday afternoon hiking to waterfalls in
