Volunteer Opportunity: Sept 20: Creek to Bay Day at Mosswood!

Save the date: Saturday September 20 from 10-1 we'll be holding a Creek to Bay Day event at Mosswood Park!  This is the City of Oakland's 30th year participating!

This annual event originated as an effort to keep trash out of our oceans.  Trash on our streets and watersheds ends up in the bay - we can help keep our bay clean and protect the ecosystem by picking up debris before the rains come in the fall.

Also this is a great way to show our support for our park and keep it looking good!  We'll have paint for graffiti and other activities as well.

Hi David,

I'm curious what you are taking issue with?  The message you are responding to is about a community clean up day for Mosswood Park that is sponsored by Mosswood RAC and the City of Oakland.   That seems pretty in-line with the intention of this Google Group.

Typically the messages on the Mosswood Park RAC google group are very light.   There have been a few occasions that someone missuses the group - such as for marketing.  I usually send them a note that their message is inappropriate.   If there is a persistent problem I can block someone from the group.

Are you referring to anything in particular?
