Weds - 12PM

Please respond as soon as you can.  Thank you.

Thank you Terri for your time today. All, I'm excited to share that we will be collaborating with you all on Sat 4/19 from 9-12PM at Mosswood Park for a fun day of beautification activities. I've cc'ed Urban Compassion Project's founders, Vincent and Supriya, our partner who among other things is an expert in managing large-scale city wide clean ups as well as formerly running the Operation Dignity program.

We'd like to schedule time to discuss logistics and the start of our Run of Show preparation which outlines roles and responsibilities leading up to the event. Proposed dates and times next week are as follows and please send me your preferred time:

Mon - 2PM
Tues - 3PM
Weds - 12PM

KOB will get the eventbrite registration link to each of you in the next week for you to share with your communities. Our goal is 300 registered volunteers this year, with extremely limited to no walk-on registration. I've enclosed last year's Run of Show document as an example of what we'll be creating.

Going to be a great Earth Day event and Thank You!!!!

Hello Matt and Christina,

Yes, Mosswood Recreation Center is planning to host an Earth Day Clean-up. We are partnering with Youth Alive, Starbucks, and our local NCPC. Please see the attached flyer for more information.  We welcome the Mosswood Community Gardens group and other organizations to partner with the Center to make this year's event even more successful.

We are asking for donations of healthy snacks and water for volunteers. If you would like to discuss how you can donate, please call me at 510 565-9585.  No registration is required; show up at the basketball courts to register on Earth Day.

Matt, the community garden folks could run the garden weeding, pick up trash and debris, paint the burnt wall, and plant seeds. Do we need compost? If so, Matt, how much?

Please help spread the word about the Earth Day Cleanup at Mosswood on Saturday, April 19th, from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Sincerely,

Terri Westbrook

Hello Christina,

Wonderful news and thank you for sharing.  As far as Community Gardens, there will be the compost giveaway at each garden site (12). We are definitely looking forward to Earth Day and the community vibes it brings. Let me know what we can do to support this and any steps we need to take.

All the best,

Dezere

Hello Terri, Manny, Stella, Dezere, Heidi, MosswoodMeltdown and Community Gardens Teams,

I'd love to collaborate - if you're planning an event on Saturday 4/19 this year and are open to a joint beautification day please let me know!

Hi Terri,

I hope all is well. I wanted to reach out to you to see if anything is planned for Earth Day at the park. If yes, please let us know what's in the works.

I have CCed here Christina Porter from Keep Oakland Beautiful, who is potentially interested in helping to coordinate an event, offering marketing support, food for volunteers, tools, etc.

From the perspective of the Community Garden, I know there will already be a compost giveaway happening on April 19th for Earth Day. I am also looking into getting a mural painted on the burnt-out wall, and possibly having folks involved in planting, weeding, etc.

Thanks everyone! If you have any questions or concerns about what's being proposed here or what next steps are, please let me know.

Thanks,
Matthew

(I have CCed a number of folks who may be interested in this! If I have included anyone in error, please let me know and I'll drop you from the thread. Also, please let me know if anyone should be added!)
