FOSS is open. You knew that. FOSS is friendly. You probably think so, too.
What if you are blind?
Jonathan Nadeau, the guy behind the Northeast LinuxFest, is. He would
like to see a GNU/Linux distribution which is focused (visual joke) on
accessibility.
It is a goal that can be accomplished. The software is something which
can be modified to work well for a person needing the extra elements.
Putting all the parts together will take some effort, of course.
Consider supporting the development of the Sonar Project, a distribution
designed to provide FOSS accessibility "out of the box."
There's an Indigogo campaign that has just started. There are 30 days to
reach the modest goal of $20,000.
