Reminder: opening next week
Julia Kochetova - War is Personal
& Verena Blok - Love Shit
Foam presents War is Personal, the solo exhibition by Ukrainian photographer and documentary filmmaker Julia Kochetova. Kochetova is part of a new generation of image-makers who experience the war in Ukraine firsthand and document it from within. The exhibition functions as a visual diary, offering an intimate portrait of everyday life in a country at war.
On the same night, Foam will also open Love Shit, the first solo exhibition by artist Verena Blok. In Love Shit, Blok explores the complex realities of reproduction, including pregnancy, abortion, growing up, care, intimacy, health, and reproductive rights. By weaving personal stories with visual imagery, the exhibition connects lived experiences of womanhood to broader societal perspectives and the political struggle surrounding reproductive justice.
