We’re delighted to present the spring titles from SPBH Editions, a group of books that bring together artists and writers engaging directly with the emotional and political realities of our time.

Across photography, image-text works, and experimental artist’s books, these publications reflect SPBH Editions’ ongoing commitment to supporting distinctive voices and ambitious forms of storytelling. From emerging perspectives to major long-term projects, each book demonstrates how artists continue to use the photobook as a space for reflection, resistance, and imagination.

Together these titles reaffirm the photobook’s capacity not only to document the world, but to help us think through it.

UPCOMING RELEASES

Dev Dhunsi
Mixed

Dev Dhunsi’s ambitious debut contemplates identity, belonging, visibility, and love through a combination of image and text, coinciding with the multimedia artist’s first institutional exhibition, opening this month.

Matthew Connors
The Axe Will Survive the Master

The culminating volume in Matthew Connors’ landmark trilogy draws on photographs made between 2013 and 2025 for a lyrical reflection on survival, sovereignty, and the political forces that shape individual experience.

Ole John Aandal
Oslo Arkiv

Formed of 240 photographs taken from the artist’s balcony following the 22 July 2011 terror attacks in Norway, this limited edition artist’s book functions as both memorial and visual archive.

Nicholas Muellner
Love in a Time of Allegory

Nicholas Muellner’s latest illustrated essay unfolds a meditation on desire and belief to propose that allegory, like love, keeps open the possibility of connection in a fractured world.
