Many of us have been suffering from a sense that there is very little we can do to impact the ongoing genocide in Palestine. At this point it feels that the only practical thing we can do is to try to alter the trajectory of a small number of people’s lives. A group of us have been working to arrange the evacuation of young Palestinian photographers and filmmakers to study on courses at institutions across Europe. We have found a wealth of support from colleges and universities and have established clear processes for securing visas from relevant government bodies. The last stage is that we must raise sufficient funds to cover each student’s tuition and living costs, as well as any additional costs involved in the evacuation process. We are writing to ask for any support you might be able to offer in helping us to achieve this final step, whether through a financial contribution or by spreading the word about this campaign through your channels. |
