ARTDATE 2025 – SILENZIO Festival di arte contemporanea XV edizione 13, 14, 15, 16 novembre Bergamo [ SCARICA IL PROGRAMMA ] [ COMUNICATO STAMPA ] [ PRESS KIT ] Manca pochissimo alla 15° edizione del Festival di arte contemporanea ArtDate, che quest'anno esplora il concetto di SILENZIO, inteso nelle sue più ampie sfaccettature: assenza di parole, rumori e suoni, comunicazione, sacralità, condizione interiore, meditazione, incomunicabilità, il nulla in filosofia, il vuoto in fisica, lo zero in matematica, annullamento delle facoltà intellettive, quiete esteriore ed interiore. Il silenzio genera solitudine e ne richiede per esistere, inducendo alla riflessione e all’introspezione; la nostra società è invece interessata da una inflazione semiotica paragonabile all’inquinamento materiale cui è assoggettata. Differenti culture si riferiscono al silenzio come metodo di conoscenza, una costante antropologica rintracciabile nelle società più diverse, come traccia di un’intuizione delle possibilità altre insite nella natura umana, quando essa si predispone all’ascolto, alla concentrazione e all’attesa. Che ruolo ha l’arte rispetto alle questioni che attraversano, interessano e contraddistinguono la società contemporanea? Qual è il rapporto degli artisti con il silenzio? Prevedono e avvisano silenziosamente attraverso le opere, o chiacchierano nella semiosfera, fomentando il brusio? ARTDATE 2025 – SILENCE Contemporary art festival XV edition 13, 14, 15, 16 November Bergamo [ DOWNLOAD THE PROGRAM ] [ PRESS RELEASE ITA ] [ PRESS KIT ] There are only a few days left until the start of the 15th edition of the ArtDate contemporary art festival, which this year explores the concept of SILENCE, interpreted in its broadest sense: the absence of words, noises and sounds, of communication, and that of sacredness, of an inner condition, one of meditation, incommunicability, nothingness in philosophy, emptiness in physics, zero in mathematics, the nullification of intellectual faculties, and so both external and internal calm. Silence pre-empts solitude and indeed requires it in order to exist, being conducive to reflection and introspection; our society, on the other hand, is tormented to a degree of semiotic inflation comparable to the material pollution to which it is subjected. Various cultures refer to silence as a method of knowledge, an anthropological constant found in the most diverse societies, as a trace of an intuition of the other potential inherent to human nature when it embraces listening, concentration and waiting. What role does art play in relation to the issues that affect, concern and characterise contemporary society? What is the relationship between artists and silence? Do they silently foresee the future and warn us of it through their works, or do they merely unleash more chatter into the semiosphere, stirring up ever greater background noise?
