PhotoIreland is excited to announce the 5 artists selected to join the FUTURES Photography Platform in 2026, co-funded by the European Union. The five artists were selected from a high number of submissions, which underlines artists’ appreciation of FUTURES as a substantial career development opportunity. In joining the platform, now in its 9th year, the artists not only enter a growing list of talent from across Europe, but also benefit from a growing range of opportunities supported by Creative Europe and the 23 platform members planned throughout the present year, culminating in an annual networking event, hosted this year by FOTODOK in Utrecht. Follow the link to discover the 5 selected artists and find out more about the 35 artists from previous years, as well as the full list of member organisations in the FUTURES platform.

Date: Running 13–19 April 2026 Launch: 6pm Thursday 16 April 2026 Location: International Centre for the Image Entry: Free, booking required just for the launch
Still Looking presents new works by Ciara Richardson, Conn McCarrick, Evanna Devine, Finbar Flanagan, and Jake Hughes to mark the conclusion of their cycle of participation in PhotoIreland’s annual RADAR programme. RADAR is a year-long residency programme for recent graduates of any Photography and Visual Arts degree on the island of Ireland, from Diploma to Master’s. The programme is an ambitious evolution of the Inspirational Arts Photography Award, first established in 2009, now expanding its remit to provide critical opportunities with the support of PhotoIreland. Still Looking is testament to the artists’ devotion to their practice, and the new works presented signal a deepening in their critical enquiry. It is with delight that PhotoIreland presents them at the International centre for the Image in the context of the Five Arts Lamps Festival.

Date: Running until 28th June2026 Location: The Library Project Entry: Free
PhotoIreland presents Reverie Park at The Library Project, a new body of work by Brazilian fine art photographer Diego Fabro, accompanying the release of his first photobook. Reverie Park is a poetic meditation on grief, memory, and the experience of living between places. Created over three years between Brazil and Ireland, the book brings together 51 colour photographs made using both digital and analogue photography. Reverie Park emerged following the death of Fabro’s father and began with a return to the family farm in rural Brazil. Attuned to the slow rhythms of nature, growth, decay, and quiet transformation, the work gradually expanded to include staged scenes, human figures, and suburban nocturnes photographed in Dublin. The result is a body of work that moves fluidly between documentary and fiction, intimacy and theatricality. Beautifully printed in Italy and published by TG Publishing in an edition of 600, this is a rich 96 page hardcover volume, with writing from Robin Titchener—a long established British photobook collector and writer.

PhotoIreland grows the reputation of Irish artists globally through a 360 degree support system and platform for contemporary photography, activated through a diversity of projects. These include events such as PhotoIreland Festival and Halftone print fair amongst others; resources such as the PhotoIreland Collection, a specialised research library of photobooks, and Ireland’s Art Bookshop, The Library Project; via publishing with projects such as OVER Journal and TLP Editions; professional development support through networking and consultancy opportunities; and empowering early and mid-career photographers via our international partnerships, most relevantly through Creative Europe co-funded platforms such as FUTURES and Parallel. In 2025, PhotoIreland launched the International Centre for the Image, Ireland's innovative cultural venue situated in the Dublin Docklands, with a focus on photography and the visual arts. The centre is a friendly and accessible venue that provides comfortable facilities, from the private artist studios, workshop, and offices, to the welcoming bookshop area, the expansive gallery space, as well as a quiet research library.
