Rest assured, this is not a newsletter about self-improvement. I am not here to hand out rules, but I can’t ignore how rhythm shapes my life. Without structure I fall apart. With it, I can move freely, in work, in art, and at home.

Most mornings begin with training, five times a week. It clears the fog, steadies the body, and sets the tone. In the gym I play music, but when I cycle for an hour, I ride in silence. Just the hum of the chain, the rhythm of breath, the turning of pedals. Thoughts that felt scattered start to align. Repetition, instead of numbing, opens space for new ideas. Discipline does not kill creativity, it creates the space for it. By holding on to simple repetition, the mind finds freedom.

Several times a week I sit in the sauna. Twenty minutes of heat that slows everything down. The body softens, the mind loosens, and I walk out lighter than before.

My workdays follow a pattern too. A day for meetings. A day for creative projects. When the day has a shape, focus comes naturally. On creative days I close the door and go under. Because the time is protected, I can lose myself in it.

By half past five I leave the studio. Dinner with my family is fixed. We sit together, talk through the day, before everyone heads out again. It may seem small, but it is the weight that balances everything else.

Lately I have been returning to meditation. Ten or fifteen minutes a day. The aim is more, morning and evening, but even the short sessions change the texture of a day. Like tuning an instrument, not louder, just clearer.

And when rhythm slips away, I feel it. Restlessness creeps in, thoughts scatter, balance tilts. That is when I know I need to return. Back to the simple repetitions that hold everything together.
