We recently got a new wifi router and updated to 360; the quality of Netflix is terrible; the sound is constantly distorted and the sound lags behind the picture. I experienced this before, but it was resolved by pressing pause and play again (very annoying)... however, that doesn't solve it now. Any ideas how to fix this?! Netflix is fine on all other devices (laptop, ipad etc). thank-you

Hey @Rach2904,

Thanks for confirming this, for me to look into this for you what I would like to do is invite you in for a quick private message, if you have not used this feature before you can access it via the envelope at the top of your screen.

Speak to you soon. Joe

I have had no issues with my Nebula playing HD content. I also do not experience any audio lag when using HDMI connections, we have used one of my Roku devices, my nether stream box and our laptop to connect to it without issues.

the netflix app that was installed had to be updated right away, afterwards the whole unit had a firmware update and after that netflix again updated and has worked since. maybe check to see if there is a firmware update for your nebula and then try again

Here is what I found... Releasing the DHCP lease on the router will release the old IP address. It should then it pick up a new IP address. I did this until I got an IP address outside of that IP block. I also temporarily disabled the firewall within the router.

I am receiving the same error code from Netflix as well: Error code M7037-1101. All other sites work correctly except Netflix (including Youtube for me). But on my Fios home network, I cannot connect through the new STB option, computer or phone. However, Netflix works perfect when I turn the WiFi option off and stream through my LTE connection. It appears Fios has blocked or throttled Netflix.

Thanks for your suggestions. I have been working with Verizon tech support in the past a couple of days to solve this problem. They have done what can be done including reboot ont, router, etc., and even sent me a new gateway router.

I am having the same issue. Tried everything with no resolve. The interesting thing is that I can watch YouTube and Netflix via my computers but not through smart TV or mobile devices connected to wifi.

Thanks guys. I'm at a loss. Any attempts to connect to Netflix through any device on my network appears like it is blocked, behind a proxy. The Set Top Box shows the red Netflix on black screen and the loading symbol just spins. The laptops and phone pull only text, no images or graphics appear. If I turn WiFi off on my phone and use the LTE, Netflix instantly pulls in all of the info and graphics and works normally. All other sites I have tested seem to work completely fine. I have rebooted the ONT, router, devices, etc as mentioned to no avail. Any thoughts to be able to even explain this to a Verizon support person?

Having the same issue here in pittsburgh. Youtube works occasionally from my macbook, not at all on phone/ipad. No netflix at all. Pulls up fine when not on my home wifi. If verizon doesnt acknowledge this or find a fix I'm switching ISPs. This is ridiculous.

Agreed, it has been very hard. I do have a help ticket into Verizon which they are looking into this issue. I have sent them our tracert results and they do believe it is a bigger problem. They looked at it today but have said they will have something in 48 hours.

I experienced the same issue (with similar traceroute results) around the same time, also in Pittsburgh, PA. I believe it was resolved around the same time as well. The issue has resurfaced for me, as of this evening. I contacted both Netflix and FiOS when I first experienced the issue. I followed all recommended troubleshooting steps, but nothing helped. Both services blamed the other party. The issue resolved itself (earlier this month) with no action or changes on my end. I'm prepared to switch ISPs at this point.

I have the same issue in pittsburgh. The problem went away last week, then came back yesterday. Fios assures me they are not blocking, and claims the problem is on netflix's side. I find this dubious.

I have had in the past Netflix slowdowns when I had cable internet, and I called and they would blame my modem. However after unplugging my then modem and my router the speed returned. Was it Time Warner who said it was a Netflix issue, or Netflix who blamed Time Warner and my devices.

Hi,
do you have any public link for us to test it? i try to play HEVC 10 video file from here but it's downloaded, as always

also, you can send a feedback from Edge feedback button or shortcuts (Alt + Shift + i). it will send additional diagnostic data to help solve the problem.
from the feedback mini window, click on attachments => recreate my problem => start recording
while it's recording, try to watch the video again

I had one site that was acting like it was having buffering issues on a high-speed line. The same site had no issues in Firefox. Your post saved me from having to reinstall Chrome to see if it was Edge specific. After some experimentation I found that edge://flags/#disable-accelerated-video-decode fixed the issue entirely for Edge.

For me, this issue has been happening since the first release of the Nvidia 30 series drivers. Now it only happens for the first ten seconds with each Mouse hover preview on Netflix and some HBO Max content. At the time of my Video, HBO Max didn't use HEVC. Anyway, it only lasts about 10 seconds on both Netflix and HBO Max. And yes, this only seems to happen with 4K displays. It affects each version of HDCP differently. My older 4K monitor had HDCP 2.0 and my new monitor has HDCP 2.2.

Note: HBO Max kept Jittering for 10 seconds with HEVC uninstalled. I had to disable PlayReady DRM for the jitters to go away. For netflix, it only happens with 4k and ATMOS content (Excluding most Anime). BTW, disabling Playready (or uninstalling HEVC) is not an option because doing so will not allow the viewing of any Netflix 4K/ATOMOS content.

@jesseinsf well, it definitely is HEVC because the same video works fine on LG TV browser and VLC player on the computer. It starts to jitter, stutter (whatever you call it) when I try to play it into edge browser.

It also works for me with downgrading the HEVC extension. But the problem is, that after some time, it will be automaticaly updated to the newer version and HEVC video playback in edge will be broken again..

My specifications are i5-9300H and GTX 1650 Mobile graphics. The problem is while playing videos, it sometimes lags and audio gets stuck and repeats itself. Same something happens with online videos on youtube and netflix. The CPU usage while watching videos get upto 80 - 90 %. I have nvidia(non-free) package installed. I don't think the problem is with the drivers. But I think the graphics card is not being used to watch videos.
I a newbie hence, didn't knew how to properly explain my problem. If any clarification needed ask away. Please help me find a solution.

Chromium recently got HW acceleration enabled and I believe so has FF, but at least YT forces avc1 on you since a couple of weeks and your GPU might no support that codec (there're various browser addons like h264ify but they all fail since YT changed stuff) - in YT, rightclick the video and select "stats for nerds" for details on the video.
In chromium, you can check chrome://gpu/ to see which codecs/specs are supported in HW decoding.

Install task manager and check what is consuming cpu, might be the web browser, but also other possibilities. For xfce desktop environment, which I use, the package is xfce4-taskmanager. If you use other desktop, just do a web search. It's also possible that it's already installed, check the menus.

The "offline vidoes" I was taking about are simple mp4 files on my system. I have tried both mpv and vlc both have simiilar problems. High CPU usage and video getting stuck and audio repeating. It works again if I pause it for a few seconds and resume again.

You can also enable/disable hardware acceleration in VLC too: Tools - Preferences - Inputs/Codecs
It's good to try without hw accelearation, cpu usage might be much lower without hw acceleration and things run smoothly. After that hardware expirements and deep searching to find which hw feature is the cause for high cpu.
